鲁惟一 《剑桥中国古代史》的主编之一。生于１９２２年，英国剑桥大学东方学院博士，曾任剑桥大学东亚系主任，现为剑桥大学荣休教授。１９４５年开始研究中国历史文化，２０世纪６０年代从居延汉简着手开始研究简牍，１９６３年从英国伦敦大学转至剑桥大学任教至退休。著有《汉代行政记录》、《剑桥中国秦汉史》、《汉代的信仰、神话和理性》等。

高居翰（1926—2014） 加州大学伯克利分校艺术史和研究生院教授，1997年获该校终身成就奖；亦曾长期担任华盛顿弗瑞尔美术馆中国书画部顾问。2010年，史密森尼学会授予其查尔斯·朗·弗瑞尔奖章（Charles Lang Freer Medal），表彰他对亚洲和近东艺术史的杰出贡献。高居翰教授的著作多由在各大学授课时的讲稿修订，或充分利用博物馆资源编纂而成，皆是通过风格分析研究中国绘画史的经典书籍，享有世界范围的学术声誉。 李 渝（1944— ） 台湾大学外文系毕业，加州大学伯克利分校硕士、博士，师从高居翰。在中国美术方面著有《清末的市民画家——任伯年》、《中国现代绘画中的民族主义与先进风格》、《唯美与现实——文革以后中国绘画》等文。也从事小说创作、文学及影剧评论。

卜寿姗（Susan Bush），美国著名艺术史家，现为哈佛大学费正清研究中心研究员。自上世纪60年代开始就一直致力于中国文人画研究。她的主要著作还有与孟克文（Christian Murck）合著的《中国艺术理论》。
